Sponsoring association

 

The association of "Geotechnik im Bauwesen der RWTH Aachen e.V." is a non-profit association for the promotion of scientific purposes. According to the statutes the goal is to "promote the teaching and research of the Chair of Geotechnical Engineering and Institute of Geomechanics and Underground Technology at RWTH Aachen University and its students as well as to inform its members about the work of the Chair and the Institute". This is done in particular by

► supporting scientific contacts between members of the association and scientists, Research Institutes and Research Communities;

► Suggestion of research and development projects by members and promotion of the implementation of results in practice;

► Support by contributions to equipment of the subject area in teaching and research (literature, equipment, tools, workplace equipment, etc.);

► Allowance of scholarships and personnel grants for the performance of scientific work in the field of research work by the Chair and the Institute;

► Support of sightseeing and lecture events;

► Support of field trips and participating students;

► Support of publications.

Extract from the contribution regulations of 21.01.2010:

§ 2 Amount of membership fees

1. the amount of the membership fee in the calendar year is as follows

a) for students: 5 €

b) for all other personal members: 50 €

c) for corporate members < 100 employees: 150 €

d) for corporate members ≥ 100 employees: 300 €

§ 3 Series of publications

The members of the association with exception of the students receive all publications from the publication series Geotechnik im Bauwesen of the RWTH Aachen University.
